The Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s tournament offers two days of fast paced, exhilarating play. It will include the best 16 Commonwealth teams according to International Rugby Board rankings who will compete for the Gold Medal as well as the traditional plate and bowl competitions.

Seven a-side rugby started in 1883. It was designed to allow one full team to divide and play. It is played on a full sized field with seven men a side and seven minute halves. Each match is action packed, making for a fast and furious spectacle. Just imagine being there with a new game starting every 22 minutes during the session of play!

16 teams are divided into four pools and play a total of 42 games in a round-robin format over two days. The competition culminates with the medal sessions on the evening of 17 March 2006. The competition starts on Day 1 of the Games and concludes on Friday 17 March – St Patrick’s Day. What a great way to entertain and network with clients and colleagues!
