Multi Purpose Venue (Melbourne Park) was completed in 2000 and is one of the most versatile venues available. This venue is the location for both the Basketball and Netball finals and the Track Cycling events.

Multi Purpose Venue (Melbourne Park) is an adaptable sports, entertainment and conference facility in one. Features include raiseable, retractable and removable seating, which can be altered to accommodate different events while always ensuring spectators can be close to the action. The retractable roof, which takes only 10 minutes to fully open or close, allows the venue to be transformed from an indoor to an outdoor arena.

Seating chart: Basketball (finals)

The Basketball Finals will be held at Multi Purpose Venue (Melbourne Park).

There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.

There are two seating levels, the Upper Level and the Lower Level.

The Upper Level spans all sides of the court.

The North Upper Level consists of all the seats within Rows AA to KK. All seating in the North Upper Level is Price Level B apart from Rows AA to CC between seats 208 and 226 which are Price Level A.

The East Upper Level consists of all the seats within Rows AA to MM. All seating in the East Upper Level is Price Level C.

The South Upper Level consists of all the seats within Rows AA to KK. All seating in the South Upper Level is Price Level B.

The West Upper Level consists of all the seats within AA to MM. All seating in the West Upper Level is Price Level C.

The Lower Level spans all sides of the court.

The North Lower Level consists of Rows A to M and N to ZZ. All seating in the North Lower Level are Price Level A.

The East Lower Level consists of Rows D to N and O to U, Seats 306 to 383. Rows D to N on the East Lower Level is Price Level B, except for Rows D to F, Seats 306 to 321 and 368 to 383 which are Price Level C. Rows O to U are all Price Level C.

The South Lower Level side of the court consists of Rows A to L and M to Z. All seating in Rows A to L and M to Z are Price Level A.

The West Lower Level consists of Rows D to N and Rows O to U, Seats 52 to 129. Rows D to N in the West Lower Level are Price Level B, except for Rows D to F, Seats 52 to 67 and 114 to 129 which are Price Level C. Rows O to U are all Price Level C.

The Netball Finals will be held at the Multi Purpose Venue (Melbourne Park).

There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.

There are two seating levels, the Upper Level and the Lower Level.

The Upper Level spans all sides of the court.

The North Upper Level consists of all the seats within Rows AA to KK. All seating in the North Upper Level is Price Level A apart from between seats 180 and 189, as well as between seats 245 and 254 which are Price Level B.

The East Upper Level consists of Rows AA to MM which are all are Price Level C.

The South Upper Level consists of all the seats within Rows AA to KK. All seating in the South Upper Level is Price Level A apart from between seats 435 and 444, as well as between seats 500 and 509 which are Price Level B.

Seating in the West Upper Level consists of Rows AA to MM which are all are Price Level C.

The Lower Level spans all sides of the court.

Seating in the North Lower Level consists of Rows A to M and N to ZZ. All seating is Price Level A.

The East Lower Level consists of Rows D to N and O to U and is Price Level B.

Seating in the South Lower Level consists of Rows A to L and M to Z and is all Price Level A.

Seating in the Western end of the court consists of Rows D to N and O to U and is Price Level B.

Seating chart: Cycling - Track

The Track Cycling will be held at Multi Purpose Venue (Melbourne Park).

There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.

There are two seating levels, an Upper Level and a Lower Level found in both the West and East stands.

The East Stand’s Lower Level consists of Rows O to U which are Price Level A apart from Seats 274 to 298 which are Price Level B.

All seating in the Eastern Stand’s Upper Level is Price level C.

The West Stand’s Lower Level is all Price level A.

The West Stand’s Upper Level consists of Rows AA to MM, with Seats 28 to 117 Price Level B. Seats 114 to 153 in Rows AA to LL and seats 118 to 152 Row MM are Price Level C.

Public Parking: Not available.

Gates Open: 60 minutes before event begins.

Stroller Storage: South-west area inside venue on Arena level.

Session changeover procedures: All spectators must leave the venue at the end of the first session.

Venue restrictions: Large umbrellas, video cameras, strollers (main arena).

Mobile Phones: Not permitted in main arena.

Flash Photography: For the safety of athletes, flash photography is not permitted at this venue.

Can I bring a bag?
Large bags eskies and picnic hampers are not permitted in Games venues. Bags must be able to sit under the seat. All bags will be inspected on entry to Games venues. It will take people with a bag longer to enter Games venues than those without a bag.

Can I bring a flag and banner?
Flags and banners smaller than one metre by one metre and with handles shorter than one metre long may be taken into Games venues. Flags and banners must not cover any Games venue signage.

Security
The safety and security of all spectators is a priority. Every person entering a Games venue will need to pass through a security screening process. They can expect the process to be similar to an airport security check. The contents of pockets will be checked and bags will be searched.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Each competition venue has a range of food and drink refreshments available for purchase. A small amount of unopened food and drink may be brought into venues by spectators.

Alcohol cannot be taken into any Games venue.

Can I bring a camera or video camera? Not available. Photography and filming for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted at Games venues. Some venues however, do not allow for flash photography.
