The Melbourne Exhibition Centre is the venue for Weightlifting. The Weightlifting program incorporates events for Elite Athletes with a Disability (EAD).

Located on the south bank of the Yarra River opposite Crown Casino, this 30,000 sq metre venue will also host Badminton and Boxing.

Opened in 1996, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre is a distinctive, functional and adaptable complex offering advanced technical services and state-of-the-art facilities.

The Badminton events will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Non-finals spectator entry is General Admission with no allocated seating areas.

For the finals there are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.

The Melbourne Exhibition Centre seating area is divided into three stands, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand surrounding three sides of the field of play.

The North Stand consists of Aisles 7 to 9, with seating from Row A to Row K. All seating in this area is Price Level A.

The East Stand consists of Aisle 10 to 15, with seating from Row A to Row G. Price Level A is between Aisles 10 to 13. Price Level B is between Aisles 13 to 15.

The West Stand consists of Aisles 1 to 6, with seating from Row A to Row M. Price Level A is between Aisles 2 to 6. Price Level B is between Aisles 1 to 2.

Seating chart: Boxing

The Boxing events will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

All sessions are Reserved seating.

There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.

The Melbourne Exhibition Centre seating area is divided into four stands; the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the West Stand. There is also a small amount of seating in the floor section; Floor North and Floor South.

The North Stand consists of Aisles 12 to 14, with seating from Row A to Row DD. Seating in Price Level A is between Rows A to G and seating in Price Level B is between Row H and DD.

Floor North consists of Aisles 15 and 16, with seating from Rows A to C. All seating in this area is Price Level A.

The East Stand consists of Aisles 1 to 3, with seating from Row A to Row Y. Seating in Price Level A is between Row A to Row G and seating in Price Level B is between Row H to Row Y.

The South Stand consists of Aisles 4 to 7, with seating from Row A to Row Z. Seating in Price Level A is between Rows A to G and seating in Price Level B is between Rows H to Z.

Floor South consists of Aisles 17 to 18, with seating from Rows A to C. All seating in this area is Price Level A.

The West Stand consists of Aisles 8 to 11, with seating from Row A to Row Y. Seating in Price Level A is between Row A and G and seating in Price Level B is between Row H and Y.

Seating chart: Weightlifting

The Weightlifting events will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

The Powerlifting spectator entry is General Admission, there are no allocated seating areas.

For Weightlifting there are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.

Price Level A seating begins at Row A and ends at Row AA. A small section of Price Level A seats are located between Aisles 3 and 4, Rows AA to GG.

Price Level B seating begins at Row ZZ and ends at Row PP. This excludes seats that are located between Aisles 3 and 4, Rows AA to GG.

The Weightlifting podium is located at the front of the seating area (Beginning at Row A), directly in front of the seating between Aisles 3 and 4.

Seating: Badminton – GA and Reserved depending on session. Boxing and Weightlifting – Reserved seating.

Bicycles: Limited space.

Public Parking: Not available.

Box Office Opens: 2 hours prior to session start time.

Gates Open: 60 minutes prior to session for Boxing and Badminton; 90 minutes prior to Weightlifting.

Stroller Storage: Available.

Session changeover procedures: Spectators may remain within the concourse area of the venue between sessions, but must leave the spectator seating area.

Venue restrictions: You will be walking over a grassed area before entering the building. High heels are not recommended on this surface.

Sport Specific Information: Please keep crowd noise to a minimum during presentations.

Mobile Phones: Not permitted.

Flash Photography: For the safety of athletes, flash photography is not permitted at this venue.
 
Can I bring a bag?
Large bags eskies and picnic hampers are not permitted in Games venues. Bags must be able to sit under the seat. All bags will be inspected on entry to Games venues. It will take people with a bag longer to enter Games venues than those without a bag.

Can I bring a flag and banner?
Flags and banners smaller than one metre by one metre and with handles shorter than one metre long may be taken into Games venues. Flags and banners must not cover any Games venue signage.

Security
The safety and security of all spectators is a priority. Every person entering a Games venue will need to pass through a security screening process. They can expect the process to be similar to an airport security check. The contents of pockets will be checked and bags will be searched.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Each competition venue has a range of food and drink refreshments available for purchase. A small amount of unopened food and drink may be brought into venues by spectators.

Alcohol cannot be taken into any Games venue.

Can I bring a camera or video camera? Not available. hotography and filming for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted at Games venues. Some venues however, do not allow for flash photography.
