Jia Wei Li and Xiao Li Cai of Singapore have defeated Australian's Russell Lavale and Miao Miao, 3-1, to move into the Mixed Doubles Final of the Table Tennis.

Despite a strong challenge by Miao and Lavale in the first game, Li and Cai managed to hold on. The Australians fought back to take a tight second game, but despite some fast-paced rallies, Cai and Li assumed control in the third and prevailed in four games, 11-7, 10-12, 11-1, 11-7.

Cai and Li will meet fellow Singaporean's Zi Yang and Xue Ling Zhang for the gold later today, after they comprehensively disposed of their compatriots Jason Ho and Sharon Tan, 11-3, 11-3, 11-7.

Lavale and Miao will try to prevent a Singapore clean sweep when they take on Ho and Tan tonight.
