Australia’s Natalie Grinham triumphed in the battle of the “Squash Sisters” when she defeated her sister Rachael to win gold in the Women’s Singles Squash final.

Rachael, the Manchester bronze medallist and winner of the 2006 Australian Open in January had to settle for silver.

She took the first game 9-2 but Natalie got the upper hand, downing her sister 6-9, 1-9, 6-9 to win the Commonwealth Games title.

Natalie won the silver medal at last year’s US Open.

The bronze medal went to New Zealand’s Shelley Kitchen.
