Canadians favourites in Trap Pairs

16 Mar 06 07:36
It will be a tightly fought contest between the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand women trap shooters when they contest the Pairs event at the Melbourne Gun Club on 17 March.

Canadian pair Susan Nattrass and Cynthia Meyer come into the event as favourites with a bronze medal in this event at Manchester in 2002. Meyer is also the current Commonwealth Gold medal holder in the Women's Trap.

Australia has a strong team with Athen's Women's Trap gold medallist Suzanne Balough pairing up with Deserie Baynes.

New Zealanders Nadine Stanton and Teresa Borrell were fifth in this event in Manchester and cannot be discounted as an upset chance.
