"St Kilda is a wonderful location showcasing a great area of Melbourne. I know St Kilda will draw a huge crowd and create a great atmosphere for the event." - Bryce Quirk, Australian National Triathlon Champion.

The Triathlon will be held on Melbourne’s famous St Kilda foreshore and picturesque surrounds. Australia is one of the ‘power house’ nations in this challenging endurance event that involves swimming, cycling and running.

  • The Triathlon course on the St. Kilda foreshore comprises: swim (1.5km), cycle (40km) and run (5km). The transition area used by athletes between disciplines is at Catani Gardens. The swim leg will take place in Port Phillip Bay adjacent to St Kilda Pier. The cycling leg is five laps of a course comprising parts of Beaconsfield Parade, Fitzroy Street, Grey Street, The Esplanade, Cavell Street and Jacka Boulevard. The run leg is two laps of a slightly shortened version of the cycling course that excludes Grey Street and parts of Beaconsfield Parade and Fitzroy Street. For more details visit the Road Events course descriptions page.
The Triathlon route is marked on the map by a solid blue line for the swim leg, a red line for the cycle route and a dotted black line highlighting the run
