India and Australia will play for the gold medal in the final of the Women's Hockey, while England and New Zealand will battle for the bronze.

India beat New Zealand 1-0 in the second Semi Final, with the only goal scored by Surinder Kaur.

Earlier today Australia defeated England 3-0.  England who looked the better side after a desperate start by both teams, but they were unable to capitalise on their chances and failed to score from four shots at goal during the first half.

After lifting its performance, Australia took the ball forward on numerous occasions later in the half before scoring in the 28th minute when Kate Hollywood worked the ball past the keeper with a reverse-stick shot for her third goal of the tournament.

Australia controlled play for the rest of the half and went into a 2-0 lead in the first minute of the second half with Emily Halliday converting a penalty corner.

Both sides had opportunities to score throughout the second half, with England having the better of the Australian midfield.

Suzanne Faulkner scored for Australia in the second last minute to give her side a 3-0 victory.

Scotland defeated Malaysia 3-0, in the battle to determine fifth and sixth place.

The match got off to an ugly start when Scotland's Julie Kilpatrick was knocked unconscious after a collision with team-mate Cheryl Valentine in the third minute. After play resumed, Scotland scored in the fifth minute when Rhona Simpson converted a cross from Samantha Judge.

Three minutes later the Scots went further ahead when Linda Clement scored. Emma Rochlin put Scotland 3-0 up in the twelfth minute, deflecting a penalty corner into the net.

At this stage it was heading for a rout, with Scotland dominating the lesser experienced Malaysian team. But Malaysia found better form in the second half. Both teams had their scoring chances, but neither was able to penetrate the scoring area.
