England has defeated Nigeria, 80-57, to claim the bronze medal in the Men’s Basketball.
Scores were level at the end of quarter time, with each team on 15 points. Early in the second quarter England took charge and shot away to hold a commanding lead.
Robert Reed top-scored for the English team with 16 points, supported by a 13 point haul from Michael Martin.
"We wanted gold, then we wanted silver, and now we've got bronze," mused Reed, after the game.
Nnadubem Muoneke of Nigeria described his team's reaction to the result, saying "Obviously it was a disappointing result. If that's the best we can play, then we don't deserve to win.
"It wasn't a good effort. We had way too many turnovers. We weren't on the same page and that would've been nice."
