another diving gold.

Canada’s diving sensation, Alexandre Despatie, has taken the gold medal in the Men’s 3m Springboard with 941.60 points.

Australians Robert Newbery and Steven Barnett finished second and third, with 906.30 and 869.40 points respectively.

This is Despatie’s second gold at the Games after winning the 1m Springboard. He will also take to the board for the 10m Platform and the Men’s Synchronised 3m Springboard.

Despatie overcame a minor setback after being penalised for a false start off the 3m Springboard.

"I could have gone, I should have gone, on my first one. It was a bad decision." Despatie admitted.
