Jessicah had a fantastic meet at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal with gold in the 100m Butterfly and the 4 x 100m medley relay, as well as a silver in the 200m Butterfly in controversial circumstances involving the first-placed Otylia Jedrzejczak, who appeared to touch the wall with one hand at the finish.

She was the third woman in Australian history to break the minute in the 100m Butterfly.

She went on to dominate in the 2005 Australian Short Course Championships by winning the 100m/200m double with a Commonwealth record in the 100m.

Jessicah has a nickname of Sparrow, has triplet brothers and an older sister.

She first started swimming when she was three years of age.
