Other Dannie confirmed her undoubted promise by winning gold in the 50m Butterfly at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal - and clocked a new Commonwealth record in the process.

She made the biggest move of her life in 2002 when, after a promising age group career under the Northern Territory Institute of Sport coach Jay Davies, she moved to Melbourne at the age of 14.

She has qualified for the 2006 World Short Course Championships to be held in Shanghai with her first in the 50m Butterfly and third in both the 100m Butterfly and Freestyle evens at the 2005 Telstra Short Course Championships.
