Other Not only has Joyce represented Scotland in four Commonwealth Games, but she has also represented her country in four World Bowls Championships.

She was among the first 12 to be inducted into the Scottish Borders Hall of Sporting Fame.

She has won world pairs, triples and fours, plus her Commonwealth Games pairs gold medal.

She is a patron for the Scottish HART, a recognised charity involving research into Cardiomyopathy and all heart diseases.

She was one of the first two women to play in the CIS Insurance UK Singles Bowls Championship in 1989.
