| Other || Maryse started lifting weights by chance at the age of 15 when she was a volunteer at a school tournament. She said she found it different from the other sports she had tried.|
She won the best lifter award (Sinclair) at the Senior Canadian Championships for a record of eight times in a row from 1997 to 2004.
She was a 12-time gold medallist at the Senior Canadian Championships between 1992 and 2004, and held 11 consecutive titles from 1994 to 2003.
She has participated at every senior World Championship since 1995 and has always ranked among the top seven.
She has a bachelor degree in business administration and is currently doing a part-time bachelor in accounting and finishing a full-time masters degree in health administration.
