Other Justin was part of the Men's Sprint Team which set a new national record at the New Zealand Championships in early 2006 (47.515)

He started riding when he was 11 years-old but had to temporarily retire from the sport in 1996 after he suffered a serious illness. He made a comeback in 2001.

He is the fastest of all New Zealand's track sprinters. He rode 200m in 10.261 seconds at a track meeting in Kunmin, China. His average speed during the 200m ride was 70.169 kilometres per hour.
