Darren describes his finest sporting moment as competing in the 4x100m medley relay Olympic final, and treasures his Olympic ring as his most prized possession.

His most embarrassing sporting moment was when was he realised he had a hole in the back of his trunks as he stood behind the block at the World Short Course Championships.

He was first selected for Great Britain in 1995 (junior) and 1998 (senior).

He lists his worst sporting moment as missing the 100m breaststroke final in the Sydney Olympic Games.

Other than swimming, Darren likes anything to do with the beach. He grew up by the sea and therefore enjoys beach sports such as surfing and beach volleyball.
