Jo believes that her finest sporting moment was winning the European SC Championships in 2003 and making the Athens Olympics team.

Her sister Nicola was a swimmer and competed in the 2000 Olympic Games.

She was first selected for Great Britain in 2001 as a junior and 2003 as a senior.

Her favourite sport other than swimming is athletics and she used to do area cross-country.

Her tip for the top is to always give your best and to never give up, and she describes herself as committed, happy and relaxed.
