gold medal for Kenya.
Canada's Achraf Tadili has denied Kenya a gold-silver finish in the Men’s 800m Final, taking second place in 1:46.93.
Alex Kipchirchir Rono crossed the line first, with a time of 1:45.88, to claim the third gold medal for Kenya on the Track.
"The race was fantastic," the gold medallist declared. "I knew I had the feet to do it.
"Yesterday, when I finished my heat, I knew I was going to do it."
Team-mate John Litei Nkamasiai was edged into third, with a bronze place finish only 0.05 seconds behind the silver medallist.
The Kenyans had been tipped to as the runners to watch in the Final, with Nkamasiai qualifying the faster of the two.
