As we leave the track and move to the road, the action is just starting to heat up at the Cycling.

With 26 finals being contested, day six of competition brings the conclusion of the Swimming competition with six finals in the evening session including the Men’s and Women’s 4x100 Medley Relay’s and the Men’s 1500m Freestyle.

The MCG will again light up for Athletics after two days of intense competition and see finals in Women’s middle-distance events, Women’s Triple Jump, Men’s 110m Hurdles, and the Women’s 400m of which Tonique Williams-Darling will try to add a Commonwealth gold to her Olympic and World Championship crowns.

Basketball heads to Melbourne Park where classification and semi final clashes in both the Men’s and Women’s events will be played. Hockey also continues with gold medal favourites Australia playing preliminary games in both the Men’s and Women’s pools.

The Men’s Boxing quarter finals get underway at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, while Cycling comes back into the spotlight with the Men’s and Women’s Time Trial in St Kilda.

We say goodbye to Artistic Gymnastics on day six with the continuation of Individual Apparatus finals, whilst we await the start of Rhythmic Gymnastics on 24 March.

Giant killer Malawi is set to take on St Vincent and Grenadines in the Netball, as Australia clashes with Samoa.

Five finals are to be contested in the Shooting competition including the Women’s Trap final and Weightlifting brings the Women’s 75kg and Men’s 94kg classes to the fore.
