The almighty roar from the packed MCG as Australian Marathon champion Kerryn McCann entered the stadium has been heralded as the Most Memorable Moment of the Games. The host of the 2010 Games, Delhi, staged a stunning display of Indian culture at the Closing Ceremony, marking the handover from Melbourne 2006. Melbourne's biggest party has closed the Commonwealth Games, as thoughts turn to Delhi 2010. Everybody’s talking about the hit of Festival Melbourne2006, appearing all around the city – the travelling Karachi W-11 tram. The 72 illuminated fish will light up the Yarra River with their spectacular sound and light show for the last time tonight. During the Games there have been a number of competitors who are family members such as sisters, brothers, husbands and wives or even father and son. We've identified a number of the Melbourne 2006 athlete families. The Games volunteers and workforce will be awarded commemorative medals as a tribute to their hard work during the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. In a day of hi jinks and high-spirits at the Athlete's Village, Melbourne's Games mascot Karak took on the other resident team mascots.
