Zambia Quick Fact

Flag of ZambiaThe Republic of Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa. It gained independence in 1964 and joined the Commonwealth. Making its debut in 1954, Zambia has competed at nine Commonwealth Games, with a total of 29 medals to their name, including three golds. The 2002 games in Manchester saw Kennedy Kanyata win gold for Zambia in the Men’s Flyweight Division Boxing.
