Sink or Swimburne

Sink or SwimburneFrom Australia

Presented by Swinburne University of Technology's Department of Arts (TAFE Division)

A land surrounded by a golden beach...
A land surrounded by endless water...
A lost tribe of fair dinkum Aussies lifesavers, shipwrecked sirens, and an aristocrat who forgot his place.

A quizzical collection of surreal performance vignettes, tableaux and parades inspired by the sea. From vaudeville to visual theatre, with lashings of high drama, black comedy, oceanic mardi-gras and piracy thrown in for good measure, this tribute to Australia's love affair with the seaside sails a wild course through some of our favourite beach icons.

Date: 15 - 19 March & 21 - 25 March
Location: The Beach at the Arts Centre
