NEW06 and + Plus Factors

NEW06 + Plus FactorsNEW06 is ACCA's annual showcase of outstanding young Australian artists, and is a not to be missed event. Also, especially curated for the Festival, +Plus Factors will take the best of cutting-edge art onto the street. Australian artists will create their own kind of marathon art-sporting events in Melbourne's CBD. This playful and amusing program offers a series of situationist works and spontaneous street events. Space Pork Adventures, artist collective, will stage pigeon and slow-bike races, and Sydney artist Tony Schwensen will bed-down for his own marathon, watching every single piece of Commonwealth Games footage live and on public view from a site-office outside ACCA. Other works are from Christopher Bennie, Shaun Gladwell, Inverted Topology, Victoria Lawson, Sonia Leber and David Chesworth, Temp-team and Justene Williams.
