Containers Village
Presented by Next Wave
Shed 14 in Melbourne's Docklands will play host to the Containers Village, featuring forty-three artist groups from Commonwealth countries exhibiting in twenty foot shipping containers. The containers will be packed and stacked – filling a huge warehouse and creating a series of trails and laneways and a maze of creativity for audience exploration.
Some of the artist groups include:
24seven (VIC), Allan's Walk (VIC), Artist Running Space (VIC), Blackout Indigenous Collective (AUS), Bus (VIC), Cabin Exchange (Scotland), Clubs (VIC), Cuckoo Collective/Silverclouds (New Zealand), Conical (VIC), Crease (New Zealand), Dala Flat Music (South Africa), Don’t Sweat Shop (VIC), Dudespace (VIC), Dysfunctional Feed (NSW), Enjoy (New Zealand), Firstdraft (NSW), Ganghut (Scotland), High Street Project (New Zealand), Inflight (TAS), Jennie Savage (Wales), Kings ARI (VIC), Les Fermières Obsédées (Canada), Mattblack (South Africa), Meta_Mortal (VIC), NUCA (NSW), Pandarosa (VIC), Phatspace (NSW), Richard Francis and Lawrence English (New Zealand/Australia), rm103 Artist-run-space (New Zealand), Rocketart (NSW), Sideshow (South Africa), Space3 (NSW), Split Reel (VIC), Springhill Institute (England), The Invisible Inc.
