Real Life on Film

Documentaries from Kenya to Coburg that show it like it is. In 2006, Australia’s only film festival dedicated exclusively to the art of documentary turns its focus to films and filmmakers originating from the Commonwealth. Ranging from the intensely political to the sublimely artistic, the program celebrates a breadth of documentary production styles and reveals that nothing is stranger, or more fascinating, than real life. Featuring over fifty films, the festival showcases numerous Australian and world premiere screenings and presents a range of events with visiting international and Australian filmmakers. Check out the full program at

Date: 11 - 21 February
Location: ACMI Cinemas, Australian Centre for the Moving Image
